1) Tea ceremony classes
Lessons are held at the Hakuho-an tea house in North Vancouver.
You will learn the role of the host as well as the guest.
The class schedule is as follows:
Mondays: 4 pm to 9 pm
Wednesdays: 9 am to 1 pm / 5 pm to 9 pm
Fridays: 5 pm to 9 pm
Guests are welcome to observe prior to the start of the lesson.

2) Tea gatherings
*Chakai/Informal tea gatherings ( 1 hr to 1.5 hrs) depending on the class size
The Chakai serves sweets with thin tea. It gives an opportunity to enjoy the unique atmosphere in a relaxed fashion.
I can host a private Chakai up to five guests at a time.
*Chaji/Formal tea gatherings ( 2 to 3 hrs) consists of two parts with one intermission
Kaiseki meals and confections are served during the initial seating, and tea is served after the intermission.
The cost varies depending on the ingredients.
3) Cooking classes
You will learn to prepare the basics of the Cha-Kaiseki (the meal for the formal tea gathering)
4) Wagashi workshops
During the workshops, you will learn to make four seasonal confections.
